On May 12, 2025, Mr. Chen Yong, Consul General of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Nagasaki, visited Nagasaki University and met with President Nagayasu and other faculty.

President Nagayasu shared the history of the University and the current status of exchanges with universities in China, expressing gratitude for these cooperative relationships.

Consul General Chen noted that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Nagasaki and expressed his desire to further strengthen friendly relations with our university and to promote student exchanges with Chinese universities.

Following the courtesy visit, Consul General Chen held a discussion with Chinese students currently studying at Nagasaki University, where they spoke about their lives as international students in Nagasaki.
