Nagasaki University calls for the immediate cessation of armed attacks by both parties; the United States/Israel and Iran.

Reports indicate that due to the continuation of armed attacks, many civilians, including children, have already lost their lives as the devastation of war expands.

As the only medical university in the world to have experienced an atomic bombing, and as an institution that bears witness to the tragedy of war, Nagasaki University strongly urges the countries concerned to halt all armed attacks immediately in order to prevent further loss of life, and to seek a path toward resolution through dialogue. We sincerely hope that there will be no further escalation of casualties and destruction, and that peace will soon be restored.

We also extend our deepest condolences to all those who have lost their lives as a result of these armed attacks.
