Visit of Mr. Daniel Ernst, Minister Counselor for Public Affairs, U.S. Embassy Tokyo, to Nagasaki University
On November 28, 2025, Mr. Daniel Ernst, Minister Counselor for Public Affairs at the U.S. Embassy Tokyo, and Ms. Morgan Cassell, Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate in Japan, visited Nagasaki University and held a meeting with University President Takeshi Nagayasu.
As part of the visit, they also served as guest speakers in the Embassy Lecture Series, organized by Professor Nishida of the School of Global Humanities and Social Sciences. The lecture focused on U.S.–Japan cooperation, immigration issues, and related policy topics, conducted primarily in a Q&A format.
During the meeting, President Nagayasu introduced the University’s history and key initiatives in education and research, and expressed his appreciation for their participation. The visit is expected to help promote further academic exchange and mutual understanding between Nagasaki University and institutions in the United States.
