On Friday, August 8, 2025, His Excellency Mr. Muhammad Daud Ali, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Japan, paid a courtesy visit to Nagasaki University in conjunction with his attendance at the Nagasaki Peace Memorial Ceremony.

During the visit, President Nagayasu, Vice President Jiang (in charge of International Exchange), and other faculty and staff members welcomed the Ambassador and held a meeting.

The discussion included the outcomes of academic exchanges with BRAC University and North South University—both partner institutions of Nagasaki University—as well as initiatives such as the program for the development of individuals skilled in IT which is promoted by Nagasaki Prefecture to foster IT professionals and facilitate talent exchange with Bangladesh. The parties exchanged views on strengthening future collaboration.

Nagasaki University remains committed to promoting cooperation with Bangladesh in the fields of education, research, and human resource development.
