On August 8, 2025, His Excellency Mr. Moi Lemoshira, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Japan, visited Nagasaki University and held a meeting with President Nagayasu.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on the long-standing collaboration between Nagasaki University and Kenyan universities and research institutions, as well as on strengthening future cooperation in the fields of education and research.

Ambassador Lemoshira also met with Kenyan international students currently enrolled at Nagasaki University, engaging in discussions about their experiences of studying and living in Nagasaki and Japan as a whole. This interaction provided an opportunity to further deepen mutual understanding and trust between the two countries.

This visit is expected to further enhance closness and academic collaboration between Kenya and Japan.
