Ambassador of India to Japan visited Nagasaki University
On August 8, 2025, Ambassador of India to Japan H.E. Sibi George, Consul General of India in Fukuoka Mr. Ramkumar C, and First Secretary Mr. Umesh Nautiyal paid a courtesy visit to Nagasaki University.
The Ambassador and his delegation met with President Nagayasu Takeshi; Dean of the School of Global Humanities and Social Sciences, Nogami Takenori; Vice Dean of the School of Information and Data Sciences, Kanaya Ichiro; Professor Nishida Mitsuru; and Associate Professor Balu Alagar Venmathi Maran. They engaged in active discussions on accepting students from India and explored potential areas of collaboration of mutual interest.
In addition, the ambassadorial delegation held an exchange session with faculty members, researchers, international students from India, Associate Professor Tomoko Kiyota who will lead the India Fieldwork Program scheduled for September, and Japanese students who are planning to participate in the program. During the session, Ambassador George offered words of encouragement to the researchers and students.
